Being a thankful soul...

It's important to be thankful; because taking something or someone for granted is not being very nice. Saying "Thank You" and or giving people a smile to acknowledge a kind gesture is a free movement. It doesn't take much by saying a simple thanks or smiling. It's free of charge. However, I've noticed that out of 10 people who moved out from a lift and being the last person out (who presses the "open" door button) I only get 1 out of 10 thanks. Of course I'm not asking for everyone to thank me and as the saying goes "never expect something in return, or you'll be disappointed..."

My half observe that the commuters on public transport during the mornings has a very sullen look. They dread the morning, they dread the crowd, they dread their "neighbour's" odour, they dread the time taken to reach their destination, they dread everything surrounding them. Could we be more gracious at all? I invaded a tiny pore of space and you go "tsk"; what's that about man..? The space around is already so tight and you're still reading the papers... flicking your long hair and using your humongous bag as a pushing shield... It's totally disgusting. Thank goodness I only have 2 stops away from work.

I think being a thankful soul makes us a better and happier person. You "shrug" away unkindness and leaving a smile on your face really makes a difference. You untrouble yourself by not thinking negative thoughts and using positivity in against your anguish definitely calms your mind... I say; TRY IT. Try saying thank-you to that bus-uncle tomorrow... Try saying thank-you to whom ever is holding onto the lift for you, try smiling and above all, try being a thankful soul for yourself... :)

:) It's gonna be a great work week!
